You are happy

You feel blue

It’s old things that

Seem so new

You are dreaming

Dreams come true

There is dedication

And this one is to you

Liebster Award

Dear readers (I’d love to write followers but that sounds like some kind of cult 🙂 ) I was nominated by unfashionablecupcake (great name, by the way) for the Liebster Award. As a man of few words I can only say thank you very much (I really appreciate it) and recommend you guys check out her blog: I like her honest way of writing. Here’s the necessary evil – the rules: Once you’ve been nominated, make a post thanking the person who nominated you and linking to their blog. Include the Liebster Award sticker. Nominate 10 blogs that you feel deserve this award, and let them know you’ve nominated them by commenting on one of their posts. You can also nominate the person who nominated you if you want. Ensure that all of these blogs have less than 200 followers. Answer the 10 questions set by the blogger, and ask 10 questions for your nominees to answer. Copy these rules into your post. ALL NOMINEES ARE FREE TO REJECT OR ACCEPT THIS AWARD. Those are her questions:

  1. Favourite person in the music industry? There have been and still are awesome musicians out there. It’s impossible for me to name just one. But I admire and respect those who stay true to themselves and don’t forget who they are even with all the fame.
  2. Dress or skirt? I’m male, so neither. Although I might look pretty awesome in the right dress (just kidding 🙂 )
  3. Favourite animal (mythical or real) Bim Bam Bino. It was a series on German TV when I was a kid. Bim Bam Bino is a puppet mouse I still love to day. The hero of my childhood
  4. Harry Styles or Liam Payne? Who? 😀
  5. Place you would love love love to go to? I’d love to go to Amsterdam and watch Ajax Amsterdam play.
  6. What is your no.1 book? Grimm’s Fairytales. I grew up with these. Besides that there are too many awesome books out there.
  7. Mobile phone or your laptop/computer? My computer, definitely. My mobile phone is evil 😀
  8. In 5 words, sum up the blogs you are nominating? personal, informative, honest, versatile, thought-provoking
  9. Random-est thing you have ever done? I’ve done a lot of things before thinking about the consequences. Thus, I made a lot of mistakes.
  10. Person you would most like to meet? My late grandfather who died when I was only two. I think he was an awesome man and I’d like to get to really know him.

My nominees:

My Questions:

  1. Who’s your childhood hero (real or fictional)?
  2. Which song makes you happy?
  3. Did a (special line in a) song ever answer a question for you that haunted you for a long time?
  4. Which fictional or historical character would you like to meet in your life and why?
  5. What’s the most important lesson you learned in life?
  6. What inspired you to start a blog?
  7. How did blogging affect your life?
  8. Is there a language you’d like to learn?
  9. Which country would you like to visit?
  10. What’s your favorite sport?

That’s it 🙂

Good Enough for You ain’t Good Enough for You

I tried and failed. Then I tried and failed again. Useless. Speechless. Deaf and dumb. Words are forming on my tongue that won’t come out. I wanna tell you that I love you. I wanna show you how I feel. But then…what’s the point?

Stranger to Myself

Alone. In a City that I have been to several times…too often. A place I barely know but somehow feel attracted to; connected to. Like being in a foreign country you are pretty sure you have been to before. Like meeting a stranger you think you have known all your life.
People are passing me by. Perfect strangers. I am nothing more than a face among the others. I am nothing more than a face to you. Someone you have known forever but still don’t recognize.
Like me. Sometimes I look into the mirror and I can hardly make out the reflection staring back at me. Nothing more than a bunch of features I can’t place. Is this me? The lips that never smile. The eyes that never cry.
I think it’s gonna rain…

Explain to me the dust upon the memories
The reasons that our eyes refused to see
A ride on the highway at night
Where was life? Where was the light?

If we should ever meet again
Would you hold me then?
Console me when
I’m craving for my sanity
Oh, give me clarity
I need clarity
Oh, come clarity

By the River

I’m walking down this path. There’s this little stream beside me. Flowing. Silently whispering your name. It makes me think of all the times we spent together. Days. Hours. Minutes. Seconds. Together. But never close. Like islands. Never touching, ever floating. Where is the bond that held us? Was the rope we called love always meant to fray? We are like strings disconnected from the bundle that created a whole. A hole…nothing but a hole…

This is Sparta!

Recently, I watched the movie 300. As a student of History I wondered about the historical background of the movie and it’s accuracy. No, I’m not someone to point out all the mistakes and wrong facts in a movie. I just find it interesting to know the story behind a film – if there is a story. In this case there is one. So, if you’re interested in the battle fought by the real 300 Spartans read on.
